Smart centre wins Network award

The newly opened SMART education centre is making a massive impact in the Galway business scene. Owned and managed by Mary O’Dowd who has more than 25 years teaching experience, the centre offers professional, independent, educational services for children aged six to 18 years.

Last weekend Ms O’Dowd won the prestigious Network Galway business woman of the year award for her new business at the fifth annual Network Galway Business Woman of the Year Awards, which took place at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel

This annual event celebrates excellence and innovation in business and SMART education is a worthy prize winner, SMART Education was the first independent learning centre in Dublin, and due to the demand for its services Mary set up a purpose build centre ocated in Moycullen. The phenomenal success of the business is a credit to this pioneering business woman.

The centre also offers specialist programmes for children with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia; and basic child- friendly consultation and assessment options include a full written report that can then be referred on to occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and educational psychologists if required.SMART education will also go on to represent Galway in the Network Ireland National Awards in 2010.
