Galway’s Padraic Joyce, former All-Star Michael Donnellan, and a host of national football greats such as Kerry’s Seamus Moynihan, Armagh’s All-Ireland winning captain and current Kildare manager Kieran McGeeney, Kildare’s Glen Ryan, Anthony Rainbow, John Divilly David Heaney, Derek Savage, Conor Mortimer, Paul Clancy, Richie Fahey, and Maurice Sheridan will all be in action this Saturday at Tuam Stadium at 3pm when they take on the current Galway football panel in a charity game.
Entry to the exhibition match is €10 and all the proceeds in conjunction with the Galway Football Board are going to the Vision For Valerie fund.
The players are going back to the Ard Rí House Hotel in Tuam for a meal after the game and those who attend the match are invited to have a Lucozade or Galway spring water and mingle and chat with the football stars after the game.
It promises to be a very enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment and it will be nice to see some of the 1998 and 2001 Galway stars playing alongside their opponents from those years. Who knows, perhaps Joe Kernan will see a few players who still can have a role to play in 2010?
Your support would be greatly appreciated.
