Charity night for Concern in The Crane

The Crane Bar, Sea Road, will host a night of music, song, and dance on Thursday October 15 at 9.30pm to raise funds for Concern’s work in Cambodia.

Local musician Sorcha Ní Chadhain is undertaking a 350km cycle in Cambodia in November to raise to raise the funds. This particular charity is close to Sorcha’s heart, as her brother Domhnall, who was a great supporter of Concern, was lost in a drowning accident in the neighbouring country of Laos last year.

The night will feature performances from fiddle and concertina player Niamh Ní Charra, who has toured Europe with the Carlos Nunez Band; Dom Keogh (bodhrán ) and Barry Brady (accordion ) of the band Mórga; dancer Brian Cunningham of Fuaim na gCuinneagáin; John Donnellan (bodhrán ), Ronan O’Flaherty (fiddle ), and Sorcha on concertina.

Admission is €10 on the door.
