Market research conducted by Atlantic College when designing its part-time course programme shows that the needs of adult learners are changing rapidly. Learners now require short, sharp, skills-focused courses that are accredited by trusted organisations. These skills may then be used to immediate effect as employment currency.
Adult learners also need these courses delivered at times that suit them and not the providers. They also expect top-class facilities and affordable rates. Going the extra mile is also expected of course providers as learners are looking for a range of additional support services to give them an edge and enhance their employability.
Atlantic College is well placed to meet these market demands. Three of these are in the field of childcare with each carrying FETAC approval and meeting the Government’s requirements for the new free pre-school year scheme.
