TOMORROW WILL see the arts come alive with free events for the Galway Culture Night event and the Galway Arts Centre is taking part.
At 5pm Clare Muireann Murphy will host a storytelling event, suitable for ages seven and up. Also starting at 5pm is Chance Dance, a dance workshop open to everyone.
At 6pm there will be a traditional music session with Mary Shannon, Joyce Redmond, and Fiachra McGowan. At 7pm Rod Goodall will read A Cold Coming (The Face of War ) before Mad Uncle Harry plays bluegrass music at 7.30pm.
At 8pm there will be country music before Cork based artist group Not Abel performs live compositions from 9pm to 11pm. Also at 8pm there will be a theatre performance from The Gombeens.
All these events take place in the Galway Arts Centre in Dominick Street, while over in the Nuns Island Theatre at 8pm, there will be a performance of Simon Stephens’ Country Music, directed by Andrew Flynn.
