Eblana currently has availability on a trip to Turkey for Christmas and New Year, staying 10 nights at the luxurious four-star Palmin Hotel in Kusadasi on a half board basis (B&B and evening meal included ).
Flights depart Dublin on Thursday December 24 at 8am and arrive in Izmir at 2.05pm. Return home on Sunday January 3, flight departs Izmir at 3.20pm and arrives back in Dublin at 6pm.
The four-star Palmin Hotel is Kusadasi is Irish owned and located 500 metres from Ladies’ Beach and 2.5km to the centre of the resort. The local Dolmus service stops right outside the hotel and provides a frequent service to the resort centre.
Accommodation
Room facilities included air conditioning, television, direct dial telephone, bathroom with full bath, and furnished balcony. All rooms have a mini fridge, safety deposit box, and tea making facilities.
Facilities include lagoon style swimming pool, pool bar, and restaurant, á la carte restaurant, 24 hour snack and room service, nightly entertainment, tennis court, safety deposit box, pool table, table tennis, and a wellness centre with Jacuzzi, fitness room, steam room, sauna, Turkish bath, beauty treatment, hairdressing, tennis, pool tables, and other games.
A full programme of Christmas and New Year activities will be available including Christmas Eve and Christmas morning Mass at the House of the Virgin Mary, a visit from Santa, and organised shopping trips. Excursions available include Pamukkale and the world renowned ancient city of Ephesus.
Many of the best known attractions in Turkey are located close to Kusadasi including the ancient city of Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis, the House of the Virgin Mary and St John’s Basilica, and the famous cotton castles of Pamukkale. Kusadasi is a shopper’s paradise. Located in an important cotton growing area, many of the most famous fashion brands in the world have factories in the locality and you can get genuine fashion wear at greatly reduced prices. Other good buys include gold and jewellery, leather goods, and Turkish carpets.
The cost is €1,023 per person and includes flights, airport taxes, return transfers, and 10 nights’ accommodation on a half board basis. Travel insurance is extra.
In 2010 the Individual Travel Club will offer several destinations including Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, South Africa, Egypt, USA, Canada, Russia, and Argentina. Note that a minimum of five people is required to guarantee departure of any of these trips.
