Seminars on coping with grief

Galway Christian Fellowship has been developing new programmes to bring spiritual, relationship, and practical help to people in Galway.

The GriefShare seminars run for 12 weeks and offer hope and help to people who are trying to come to terms with loss and bereavement. The sessions will explore various topics related to grief and recovery, such as what to expect in the journey of grieving, and what to do with the question why?. One participant commented, “It helped me to share my story of grief. Emotions are OK”.

The Alpha Marriage Course is a unique way for couples to enrich and strengthen their marriage. Over eight weeks the course offers couples an opportunity to spend time together, looking at important issues and acquiring tools to build a healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime.

An English for jobseekers course that is also being run is a six-week programme specifically designed to help those whose first language is not English to apply and interview well for jobs.

Galway Christian Fellowship was established in 1981 and now has two congregations in the city, one in Ballybrit and the other in Knocknacarra.
