GER WOLFE, the Cork singer-songwriter John Spillane has described as “the poetic soul of Ireland” and who the Irish Examiner called a “unique creative talent” is playing Galway.
Ger has just released his fifth album No Bird Sang (Raggedy Records ) and he will perform songs from it at The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Thursday September 24 at 9pm.
The album features songs relating to science, space travel, religion, and nature, such as ‘No Bird Sang’ (inspired by a discussion about the beginning of the world with a 10-year-old ), ‘A Song From Earth’, (the new single, written as a birthday present for an astronaut ), and ‘When The Stars Shine’ (questioning the ethics of space exploration ).
