Manhattan Short Film Festival returns to Galway

GALWAY FILMGOERS will unite with audiences in 172 cities across five continents to view and judge the next generation of filmmakers when the 12th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival screens at the Town Hall on Sunday September 27 at 3pm.

The festival will screen 10 short films – all 14 minutes and under in length – from the USA, Australia, Mozambique, Britain, Israel, Spain, France, Sweden, and Italy.

Filmgoers will be handed a voting card upon entry and asked to vote for the one film they feel should win. Votes are tallied at each cinema and forwarded to the festival’s headquarters in New York where the winner will be announced on Tuesday September 29 at 9.15pm.

The films to be screened in the Town Hall are Boundary (USA, directed by Julius Onah ), Love Child (Sweden, Daniel Wirthberg ), Mozambique (Mozambique, Alcides Soares ), Skizein (France, Jeremy Clapin ), Parking (Spain, Jorge Molina ), A’Mare (Italy, Martina Amati ), Plastic (Australia, Sandy Widyanata, Miente (Spain, Isabel De Ocampo ), Lashabiya (Israel, Yehezkel Lazarov ), ands Hammerhead (Britain, Sam Donovan ).
