Herb day at Brigit’s Garden

A celebration of healing and culinary herbs will take place on Sunday at 2pm at Brigit’s Garden in Roscahill.

The herb day aims to inspire and educate people about the many different uses for herbs with lots of practical advice and tips from experts.

Visitors can learn about healing herbs and how to identify them from medical herbalist Sarah Hughes, join a tour of the herb garden in the company of Laura O’Connor and get advice on herb growing from organic expert Dolores Keegan. Chef Nico of Brigit’s Garden will be on hand to offer tips on cooking with herb and there will also be a selection of teas to sample and an opportunity to buy herb plants.

The garden’s café will feature special dishes on the day packed full of fresh herbs from its extensive herb garden.

Admission for the event is €8 for adults with a concession rate of €6.50 available for seniors, students and the unemployed. There is also a family ticket available for €24.

Other popular future events at Brigit’s Garden this autumn include the Haunted House and Stories with Santa.
