If the downturn in the economy has made you think about economising it may be time to consider bartering.
Galway Social Space (www.galwayspace.org ) will host a barter fair from 7pm to 9pm on Monday at 24 Middle Street.
People can bring along their unwanted possessions and barter them for something they want. As well as money-free shopping the event will be an opportunity for community building.
The Galway Transition Town group will show a series of short films upstairs at the venue about peak oil, climate change and transition culture.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
