THE ATHENRY vocalist, composer, and conductor Julie Feeney will play the Town Hall Theatre on Thursday September 24.
Julie first came to attention ion 2005 with her debut album 13 Songs. Its mix of pop, avant garde, and classical marked her out as an individual talent on the Irish scene, a fact acknowledged when she won the inaugural Choice Music Prize in 2006.
This year Julie released her second album pages, where she continued to develop her unique pop/classical sound. The Irish Times said of her: “She is an innovator, an original; incomparable with any of her contemporaries and she has created what just might be the Irish album of the year”
