CORK POET and novelist Martina Evans will be the guest reader at the next North Beach Poetry Nights in The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Monday September 7 at 9pm.
Martina began writing in 1990 and has published three books of poetry and three novels. Her first novel, Midnight Feast, won a Betty Trask Award in 1995 and her third novel, No Drinking No Dancing No Doctors (Bloomsbury, 2000 ), won an Arts Council England Award in 1999. Her fourth poetry collection, Facing The Public, is due to be published by Anvil Press in September.
She was Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Queen Mary, University of London from 2003 to 2007.
