GALWAY YOUTH Theatre is currently recruiting new members for its two year performance course starting at the end of September.
Those aged between 16 and 24, interested in performing, love theatre, want to have fun, and make new friends Galway Youth Theatre is the place for you.
The theatre performance course takes place two evenings per week for ten weeks each term; September to December, and January to March at Nuns Island Theatre, and Galway Arts Centre. Workshops take place in the evenings to accommodate members who are in education or employment. Workshops include improvisation, characterisation, voice work, history of European, American and Irish theatre, movement, script study, and specialist workshops from visiting theatre practitioners.
Members will also take part in a variety of exciting productions throughout the year. On completion of year one members have the option and are encouraged to continue to year two.
