Irish Navy to host a 1930s theme night in aid of Galway Simon

To mark Galway Simon Community’s 30th Anniversary they will be holding a very unique fundraising event aboard Ireland’s largest Navy Ship. Creating a 1930s theme, the Boatleggers Bash will take place on the L.E. Niamh in the Galway Harbour on Friday September 11.

Commencing at 7.30pm guests will be greeted aboard the vessel by a Barbershop Quartet and a drinks reception. There will be prizes for the best 1930s outfits and a live Jazz Band will have the guests jiving the night away. An original 1930s Packard car will be at hand for some pre-boarding photos thanks to Getaway Wedding Cars, and the fun will continue on dry land with an “afters” party at a near-by establishment.

The Irish Defence Forces have donated use of the vessel to assist Galway Simon raise much needed funds for its homeless services throughout Galway City.
