New creative writing course this autumn

This September Galway Arts Centre is offering a new fiction workshop, facilitated by writer Celeste Augé, who was shortlisted for a Hennessy Literary Award this year. Salmon Poetry recently published her collection ‘The Essential Guide to Flight’.

Taking inspiration from contemporary short stories (and what writers have to say about them ) participants will do in-class writing exercises along with assignments in their own time. These will be shared during the workshop in a supportive environment meant to challenge and inspire.

The workshop will take place on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm for 10 weeks, starting September 14, and is open to both beginners and more experienced writers. The cost to participants is €110, with a €100 concession rate.

Places are limited, so early booking is advised. To book contact Galway Arts Centre, 47 Dominick Street, phone 091 565 886 or email [email protected].
