This weekend will see events taking place across the city for the annual Galway Gay Pride Festival.

Highlights include Queerspace at the Galway City Museum, a collection of memorabilia celebrating the longest consecutive running Pride celebration in the country. The exhibition will run throughout Pride weekend.

A treasure hunt around the city will take place tomorrow from 6pm to 8pm, followed by late night entertainment in the Stage Door, and GPO.

Pride parade kicks off at 2pm on Saturday from Woodquay followed by a party in the park (surprise destination ). The Warwick Hotel will be the place for party hats, rainbow coloured ties, and feathered boas on Saturday night with a drag show and tribute music all night long.

Sunday will see the festival wind down with a five a side soccer tournament in the Kingfisher Club and trad music in the Stage Door. This will be followed by wine, canapes, piano playing, and a documentary at the Gallery Cafe in the Galway City Museum at 5pm.
