There’s no excuse to stay huddled up at home as there are plenty of great free outdoor walks and nature activities for all the family at Coole Park.
Coole Park Heritage Week will have more than interesting free events to keep you busy. Fancy taking a look at some bats? You will have the opportunity to see these fantastic creatures by taking part in the Bat Walk, in association with Galway Bat Group, on Saturday August 15 at 8.30pm. This will be an illustrated talk and walk with Raymond Stephens, NPWS Conservation Ranger.
A guided walk, ‘The Gregorys at Coole - Places and People’, takes place on Saturday, August 22 at 2.30pm. On Sunday, August 23, between 2pm and 5pm there will be plenty of fun family nature activities including scavenger hunts, art, and crafts.
Nature activities for children aged six to 10 years will also be taking place on Wednesday 26, from 2.30pm to 4pm. Booking is essential.
Last but certainly not least is another guided walk, ‘Telling The Story of Coole Through The Trees’, which is on Sunday, August 30, at 2.30pm.
