Galway’s O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers fly the flag for the west at the Property Industry Excellence Awards 2026

O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers is proudly putting Galway on the national property stage, having secured a nomination in the Large Agency category at the prestigious KPMG Irish Independent Property Excellence Awards 2026.

The Galway-based firm is the only property agency outside Dublin nominated in its category, a significant achievement that places O’Donnellan & Joyce Auctioneers alongside some of the country's leading property agencies and highlights the strength of Galway's property sector on a national level.

Established in Galway in 1982, O’Donnellan & Joyce has grown into one of the west of Ireland's most recognised property agencies, with 44 years of experience serving buyers, sellers, landlords and investors. The nomination recognises the agency's continued success, professional standards and longstanding commitment to the Galway community.

The recognition comes during another exceptional year for the firm, which continues to lead the Galway property market across several key performance indicators.

According to Daft.ie data for 2026 to date, O’Donnellan & Joyce ranks No 1 in Galway for new property listings, with 222 new listings and an 11.6 per cent market share. The agency also holds the No 1 position for property visibility on Daft.ie, generating an impressive 75 million impressions and accounting for 16.8 per cent of the Galway market's total visibility.

Central to this success is the dedicated team behind O’Donnellan & Joyce, whose experience, professionalism and commitment to client service have been instrumental in building the agency's reputation over the past four decades. With several employees having been part of the business for more than 15 years, the agency prides itself on the strength of its people, their extensive knowledge of the Galway property market and the longstanding relationships they have developed with clients across generations.

The firm continues to invest in its people, supporting professional development and encouraging the next generation of property professionals, while maintaining the personal, approachable service that has become synonymous with the O’Donnellan & Joyce name.

Beyond its commercial achievements, O’Donnellan & Joyce remains deeply rooted in the Galway community. Over the years, the agency has proudly supported numerous local charities, sporting organisations and cultural initiatives, including Rosabel's Rooms, the Irish Hospice Foundation, COPE Galway, MADRA, Galway Sick Kids Foundation, Salthill Knocknacarra GAA, Connemara RFC, Macnas and Music for Galway.

"To be nominated alongside some of the largest property agencies in the country is a tremendous honour, but to be the only agency outside Dublin represented in our category makes it particularly special," said managing director Colm O’Donnellan.

"We are incredibly proud to be a Galway business. Galway has been our home since 1982, and everything we have achieved over the past 44 years is thanks to the trust and support of our clients, our dedicated team and the wider community.

"Our team is at the heart of everything we do," he added. "We are extremely fortunate to have such a talented, hardworking and committed group of people, many of whom have been with us for years. Their dedication, professionalism and genuine care for our clients are what have made O’Donnellan & Joyce the business it is today. This nomination is a reflection of their collective efforts, and I couldn't be prouder of them.

"This recognition is not just a proud moment for O’Donnellan & Joyce, but for Galway and the west of Ireland. It demonstrates that a Galway-based business can compete at the very highest level nationally, and we are delighted to be flying the flag for our city and region."
