Galway Science and Technology Festival will offer a series of events designed to offer a comfortable, sensory-friendly environment for individuals who may find the full festival atmosphere challenging or overwhelming.
Galway Autism Partnership (GAP ), in partnership with Medtronic, is pleased to announce the return of ‘Quiet Time’ at Medtronic Exhibition from 10-11am. This will allow visitors to explore the interactive Medtronic Exhibition in the Human Biology building, in a calm and supportive environment. This session is open to all, with limited numbers to ensure a quieter, more relaxed experience. Visit GalwayAutism Partnership.com to book your space for this hour.
Other accessible opportunities include the 10am session of ZooSoc, reserved for a quieter, sensory-friendly experience for families with additional needs. There will also be a Quiet Space upstairs in the Orbson Building where families can take a break, relax and recharge.
In the Cube the Exploration Dome examines how to survive in space and what it’s like to live on a space station. The 11am and 2pm sessions are reserved for sensory friendly experiences. There will also be a Quiet Space in the Hub throughout the day also supported by GAP.
GAP warmly invites you to be part of this welcoming, inclusive series of events.
