Ballybane Community Hub has a busy programme of activities lined up for the first week of November, with a Garda clinic, a classic board games and bingo evening, and a fun-filled cookery demonstration all taking place at the local hub.
Residents are invited to meet their local community Garda, Kenneth Boyle, at the next Garda clinic on Sunday, November 1, at 6pm. The clinic offers an opportunity to have forms signed, seek crime prevention advice or report a crime in a welcoming and accessible community setting. Residents are encouraged to drop in and speak directly with Garda Boyle about any concerns or queries they may have.
Those looking for a relaxed and enjoyable evening are welcome to join the next classic board games and bingo evening on Tuesday, November 3, at 6.30pm. The event promises a chance to enjoy some friendly competition, meet neighbours and socialise with members of the local community. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Food lovers are also in for a treat on Thursday, November 5, when the hub hosts its latest cookery demonstration, entitled Rocking in the Kitchen.
Forget Bat Out of Hell — this time, it’s all about Meat Loaf in the kitchen! Chef Maria McNeela will take centre stage at 7pm, demonstrating how to prepare delicious chicken vol-au-vents alongside a traditional meatloaf.
The evening promises tasty inspiration, foodie fun and a little rock ‘n’ roll spirit, with plenty of ideas for anyone looking to try something new in the kitchen.
All three events will take place at Ballybane Community Hub, 30 Béal Srutha, Galway, H91 TW27, with parking available adjacent to Ballybane Library.
Everyone is welcome to attend. For further information, contact Donal on 087 199 4360.
