Blue Teapot is calling for new students

Blue Teapot Theatre Company’s Performing Arts School is looking for new students to join in September 2027. This is a great opportunity for adults with an intellectual disability, aged 18 and over, to access formal arts training leading to certification in QQI Awards Level 2 and 3.

The three-year programme focuses on performing arts modules such as drama, music, costume and design. Students can fulfil their artistic potential by participating in theatre showcases and short films. The course also incorporates a Life Skills and Literacy & IT programme.

Tutors are subject matter experts with a wealth of knowledge in creative arts – theatre directors, actors, artists, musicians and designers – along with specialists in advocacy.

Talking about the programme, Tutor Taylor Dolan: ‘Blue Teapot is a joyous place to create all manner of theatre, art and skills that will stick with you for the rest of your lives! Every day we come together as a group to learn and have fun in a safe place.’

The Performing Arts School creates a positive and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

Student Aidan Cassidy said: ‘In Blue Teapot you can express yourself, be creative and be yourself’.

The programme runs four days a week all year round. Places on the course are limited and deadline for applications is 6th November. Application forms are available by calling Judith Wolf 087 652 0146 (daytime Monday-Thursday ) or email [email protected].
