The injured party was attacked with a weapon and suffered serious injuries requiring transport to University Hospital Galway. A break-in on September 23 occurred in the Glasan estate, Ballybane, at 4.15am. The homeowner was disturbed by the sound of two males in the house. The suspects gained entry through the front window. Galway Gardai are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information related to the incident.
In Gort, Gardai are investigating a break-in in the Tonroe, Ardrahan area between September 18 and 25. The homeowner returned to discover their house had been ransacked, with entry gained through the rear door. The homeowner returned to find a number of work tools taken from the property, including a Dewalt circle shoe, two Dewalt drills, a 1000 metre roll of wire, and a jeg shoe for cutting timber.
