Mervue United make the trip to Letterkenny this weekend as they face Bonagee United at Dry Arch Park.
Brendan O'Connor's side come into Saturday's contest off the back of a 0-0 stalemate against Lucan United last weekend. That hard earned point leaves the Galway team in second place in Group 1, two points behind Home Farm DCU on 10 points.
Both these sides last met just a fortnight ago. Mervue defeated the Donegal outfit 2-1 thanks to first-half goals from Aaron Neary and Donnacha McNamara. That was Mervue's second win of the National League campaign.
Bonagee are still in search of their first victory of the campaign. However, they have played the least number of games in the group with three. Their record this season is one draw and two defeats, the latest being that 2-1 loss at Fahy's Field.
Bonagee's other results include a 1-0 loss to Lucan United and a 2-2 draw with Home Farm DCU on the opening weekend.
It has been a consistent campaign for Mervue so far. Aside from a disappointing day against Home Farm DCU, they have been strong defensively and exciting going forward.
Another positive result against Bonagee this weekend would put them in a strong position in the table before a two week wait for their next fixture.
Kick-off at Dry Arch Park is 5pm this Saturday.
