A cyclist in his eighties is in a critical condition in hospital following a road collision in Clifden yesterday (Monday ) afternoon.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following the accident, which occurred on the R341 Ballyconneely Road in Clifden at around 2.40pm yesterday.
The accident involved a collision between a car and a bicycle, which the injured man was cycling.
The man remains in a critical condition in hospital today. No other injuries were reported at the time of the accident.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area of the R341 between Ballyconneely and Roundstone between 2.15pm and 3pm on Monday, September 21, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
