Gardaí have seized cocaine worth an estimated €183,000 during raids on two locations in Tuam today.
Gardaí carried out searches in two locations today as part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the area.
The Divisional Drugs Unit, along with local drugs units, the Armed Support Unit and two dog units, searched the two locations, seizing the suspected cocaine, a sum of cash and a quantity of cannabis.
Two men, aged in their twenties and thirties, were arrested and are currently being detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking ) Act 1996.
The suspected cocaine and cannabis will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
