Connacht Rugby are reeling back the years to revive their most successful and memorable achievement in the professional era.
This year represents a decade since Connacht won the PRO 12 when they overcame fellow Irish side and favourites Leinster at Murrayfield, winning by 20-10. And to mark the occasion of this 10th anniversary, Connacht is hosting a special event in Dexcom Stadium on Friday, September 25 when Stuart Lancaster’s side faces the Stormers in the opening round of the new URC season.
Former head coach Pat Lam, who masterminded Connacht’s win, will be a special guest, in addition to a host of players who were involved in Connacht’s most remarkable season.
The event will take place on the Atlantic Premium Level of Dexcom Stadium prior to Connacht's URC opening round fixture, and includes a drinks reception, two-course buffet, and half-time tea, coffee and sweet treats.
A match ticket for the premium padded section is included, in addition to a question-and-answer session with Lam and members of the winning 2015/16 playing squad.
Connacht, led by captain John Muldoon, who also claimed the man-of-the-match award, won the trophy by 20-10 in front of some 35,000 spectators, having beaten Glasgow Warriors 16-11 in the semi-final.
