A defendant caught with a smorgasbord of drugs including cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy, cannabis resin and liquid cannabis with a total value of €1,749 was remanded until the October 19 sitting of Galway District Court when he appeared before Judge Fiona Lydon on Wednesday.
Michael Byrne, 249 Moorefield Park, Newbridge, Co Kildare is currently serving a prison sentence relating to separate matters and he inform the judge that he will be serving this sentence until next April so he was not opposing any conditions imposed by her.
Byrne faces a charge of having the drugs found in his possession for the purpose of sale and supply.
His hearing on October 19 will be via video-link from prison.
