After months of careful curation, talent scouting and cajoling, organisers of the Galway Comedy Festival are going for a well-earned pint and a chuckle tomorrow, Friday, September 11, in Mary Mullen’s Bar, at 6.30pm, to show off their 2026 line-up to a select few, before its publication next week.

A preview of this year’s Galway Comedy Festival, from October 20, to October 26, will be revealed at the Prospect Hill pub, plus an hour of comedy from festival stalwarts Andrew Maxwell, Sinéad Quinlan and Karl Spain.

With 80 artists, and 60 shows across 14 venues over seven days and nights, this week’s launch will be a first look at what the festival has in store for #GCF26, before it is revealed to the wider world. The full programme goes on sale at 10 am, next Tuesday, September 15.

Tickets for the launch event tomorrow are €10, available now from galwaycomedyfestival.ie Tickets include a free pint of Heineken.

This event is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport as part of The Night-Time Economy Grassroots Venue Support Scheme 2026.
