Sleep Out for Simon 2026 has officially launched, bringing together community and business leaders, supporters, partners and advocates to stand with people facing homelessness across Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.

On Friday, October 2, participants will give up their beds for one night to raise vital funds for Galway Simon Community and support people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The launch at The Connacht Hotel included presentations about Galway Simon Community’s services, a virtual reality presentation capturing real stories of homelessness and a live performance by Tracy Bruen. Galway Simon Community extends sincere thanks to the Mayor of Galway City, Helen Ogbu, for officially launching the event.

Galway Simon Community is inviting individuals, businesses and community groups across the region to take part, fundraise or support a participant. To register your interest in Sleep Out for Simon 2026 or support the campaign, visit https://www.idonate.ie/event/sleepoutforsimon2026.

One Night. One Purpose. Because no one should face losing their home alone.
