Cairn Homes, together with Galway City Council, have announced that applications will open next week for 25 new homes for sale at Slí na hAbhann, Ballymoneen Road, Galway.
Applications will open at 12 noon on Thursday 24 September 2026, where interested parties can register and apply online at www.GalwayCity.ie/Slinahabhann Speaking about the launch, Louise Esler, Administration Officer, Galway City Council said ten two bed and fifteen three bed homes will be available through the Starter Home Purchase Scheme (formerly Affordable Housing Scheme ) under the Affordable Housing Act 2021 and associated regulations.
“We are encouraging interested parties to have a look at the checklist for applicants, the Scheme of Priority and the list of supporting documentation as soon as possible so they can prepare to apply. Please ensure to follow all instructions so your application is valid,” she added.
The minimum purchase price is €330,000 for the 2-bed mid terrace home (one parking space ), €395,000 for 3-bed mid-terrace home (two parking spaces ) and €410,000 for the 3-bed end terrace home (two parking spaces ).
