The love of swimming starts here – give your child a skill for life

From their very first splash to mastering their strokes, learning to swim is a journey that can build confidence, independence and skills that last a lifetime.

For children, swimming is not only a great way to stay active and have fun, but an essential life skill that can help them feel safe and confident around water.

The Kingfisher Club is delighted to launch a new term of Children’s Swimming Lessons, beginning Monday 31st August for 8 weeks.

With a nationally recognised swimming programme and excellent leisure facilities, the Kingfisher Swim Academy provides a safe, friendly and encouraging environment where children can learn and progress at their own pace.

Whether your child is taking their first steps in the water, looking to improve their technique or is already an advanced swimmer, the programme caters for all abilities.

Experienced and fully qualified swim instructors use encouragement, patience and clear instruction to help children develop confidence in the water while learning essential swimming and water safety skills.

As children progress through the Kingfisher Swim Academy levels, they develop a range of swimming techniques, including front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, alongside strength, coordination and water confidence.

Each child’s progress is carefully monitored, with individual end-of-term assessments helping instructors identify the appropriate next step in their swimming journey.

The emphasis is not just on learning to swim, but on making the experience enjoyable. Kingfisher’s Garda-vetted and fully qualified swimming teachers are passionate about helping children build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being in the water - all in a fun and supportive environment.

Swimming is a skill for life, and there is no better time to start.

Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to teach your child important water safety skills, their Swim Academy is open to members and non-members.
