REDMOND O’TOOLE, possibly the leading young Irish classical guitarist of today, is returning to Galway to play St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Tuesday at 8pm.
Redmond plays an 8-string guitar which he plays upright like a cello, instead of the more traditional method of across the lap. On the night he will be joined by violinist Elizabeth Cooney for a programme that will include pieces by John Dowland, Paganini, Nathan Milstein, FM Torroba, Ian Wilson, Enrique Granados, Manuel De Falla, and a number of Spanish folk songs.
Admission is €15/12. For more information contact 091 - 799258. See also www.redmondotoole.com
