A Galway builder who was warned in the Commercial Court last week that he would be put in prison for alleged contempt of orders requiring him to disclose to ACC bank all relevant details of his business affairs, has had the case put back for mention in early November.
Lawyers for ACC Bank yesterday (Wednesday ) told the court that they had received substantial documentation from James Clancy of Furbo, Co Galway, and that they would not be proceeding with any matters at the moment.
The court heard that some of the documentation was of great assistance to the bank.
Judge McGovern said he was pleased to hear that Mr Clancy was fulfilling his obligations to the court.
ACC had previously secured judgement for €3.4 million against Mr Clancy over unpaid loans from ACC Asset Finance for a machine used for the manufacture of prefabricated polystyrene houses.
