Four decades of excellence marked at Scoil San Phroinsias

Hildegarde Naughton thanked the past staff members for their years of service to Tirellan National School while celebrating the 40th Anniversary on May 29th. She also wished Kevin O' Shea and Bridie O' Dea the very best in their retirement and acknowledged their dedication to the school and the pupils.

She also wished Kevin O' Shea and Bridie O' Dea the very best in their retirement and acknowledged their dedication to the school and the pupils.

Scoil San Phroinsias, Tirellan celebrated its 40th anniversary recently when Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton joined the community in marking this milestone occasion.

A special mass was held in the school hall and was celebrated by Fr. Kevin Blade PP and Fr. Tadhg Quinn, (former curate and PP Knocknacarra ). Staff and pupils were joined on the day by several past teachers and pupils.

The school has served the wider community over the last 40 years and has made a huge contribution to education in the local community.A great day was had by all and a large section of the parishioners and past parents were present on the day.

The school looks forward to serving the community into the future and look forward to many more years of education, collaboration, collegiality and engagement with all the different communities within our parish.

Staff would like to wish colleagues Kevin O’ Shea and Bridie O Dea all the very best as they retire at the end of the school year.

Both have served the school with great distinction and will be greatly missed by the school community. Staff wish them all the best as they start their own exciting personal journey into retirement and thank them for their great service throughout their careers.
