For artist Emer Whelan, creativity has always been more than making beautiful things. It is a way of processing, connecting and finding perspective when life feels uncertain.

Tomorrow Friday 12 June, Emer will launch her latest limited-edition collection featuring two new works, Embrace and Emerge. Subscribers to her mailing list will receive early access on Thursday 11 June.

Created during a period of significant personal challenge, the collection explores themes of acceptance, renewal and the quiet strength that can emerge through difficult seasons of life. While inspired by Emer’s own experiences, the works are intentionally universal, offering space for reflection, hope and healing for anyone navigating change.

“Art has always been where I make sense of things,” says Emer. “The studio became a place where I could focus on possibility rather than limitation. Creating these pieces reminded me that growth isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, trusting the process and finding beauty in where you are right now.”

The two works represent different stages of that journey. Embrace, framed through a blue archway, explores acceptance and self-compassion. It speaks to meeting yourself where you are, rather than where you think you should be. Emerge, represented by a pink archway, looks towards growth, transformation and new beginnings. Together, the pieces reflect the space between challenge and change, where resilience quietly takes root.

For Emer, the collection is less about overcoming adversity and more about what creativity can make possible.

“I wanted these pieces to feel uplifting,” she says. “A reminder that even during difficult times, there is still beauty, meaning and hope to be found. If someone sees themselves in the work and feels a little lighter because of it, that’s incredibly special.”

The collection continues Emer’s distinctive visual language, combining colour, symbolism and emotion to create artworks that invite both personal interpretation and connection. Many collectors are drawn to her work because it brings a sense of calm, optimism and encouragement into their homes.

Embrace and Emerge are available as museum-quality giclée prints in A3, A2 and A1 sizes. Each piece is signed, numbered and unframed.

The collection launches on Friday 12 June via emerwhelanart.com, with subscriber access available from Thursday 11 June.
