As summer sweeps into Galway Bay, Stiúideo Cuan, one of the finest recording studios in Europe, is once again opening its doors to the public with a stellar line-up of gigs curated to showcase Ireland’s emerging and established musicians.
Overlooking the Burren and the Wild Atlantic Way, Stiúideo Cuan has hosted many of the nation’s most brilliant musicians and bands in recent years, including Martin Hayes, Trá Pháidín, The Hothouse Flowers, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and countless more. This year is no exception with Féasta Ceoil An Spidéal 26 kicking off at the studio tomorrow night with the acclaimed singer songwriter Roesy.
After eight albums and decades of touring internationally, the Birr native is back touring Ireland again as he continues to expand his prolific discography while enriching his strong reputation for lyrical depth and emotional clarity. Tomorrow evening’s intimate concert in Stiúideo Cuan is a rare opportunity for Galway audiences to experience Roesy’s crafted songs and gilded voice again.
Féasta Ceoil An Spidéil continues next week with Lisa Hannigan, Colm Mac Con Iomaire and David Keenan.
A proud Dundalkian, David Keenan has released five stellar albums to date, including the Irish number one, A Beginner’s Guide to Bravery. His music is praised for its poetic qualities. Cited as one of the most inimitable Irish songwriters and live performers to emerge in recent years, Keenan’s performance next Friday in Stiúideo Cuan is not to be missed.
With Lisa Hannigan and Colm Mac Con Iomaire already sold out, and David Keenan and Roesy selling fast, Stiúideo Cuan is proud to host emerging young local musicians who will open for the four headliners over the course of the festival.
