Casting call for 'The Wiz'

Exam-friendly summer schedule

Twin Productions will hold auditions for its annual musical and enrolments for its summer theatre camp on Sunday, May 24, in Galway Community College, Moneenageisha.

Organisers are inviting adult and youth performers from all performance, dance, singing, and acting groups across the city and county to join in. Experience is not essential.

This year’s production will be the exciting and funky musical The Wiz based on the beloved classic "The Wizard of Oz."

This fully costumed and orchestrated musical with professional lighting, sets and sound will be produced at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway from Tuesday, August 18, to Sunday, August 23.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a vibrant production, featuring intricate costumes and sets that will bring the enchanting world of Oz to life.

"We are excited to welcome youth and adults from all backgrounds and skill levels to be a part of this creative journey," says producer and director, Seán Power. "Our annual summer theatre camp is a wonderful opportunity for young talents to develop their skills, make new friends, and shine on stage."

Recognising that many students may be busy with exams, Twin Productions offers a flexible enrolment process. Students may sign up for the camp now, but are not required to attend until after their school exams are completed.

For more information about registration, rehearsals, and performance details, see Twin Productions Ireland's Facebook page, with updates and additional resources to help budding actors and actresses prepare for an unforgettable summer experience.

The production is open to over eight-year-olds, teens and adults.
