Volkswagen has revealed the new ID. Polo arriving in Ireland later this year for less than €20,000.
There will be two battery to choose from - the entry level 37kWh version with a claimed range of up to 329km and the 52kWh variant with a quoted range of up to 455km. The smaller battery has a 90kW DC charging speed, while the larger unit can charge at up to 105kW.
The new ID. Polo is 4,053mm long, 1,816mm wide and 1,530mm high. The wheelbase is 2,600mm. It has a 441-litre boot, which Volkswagen says is larger than its combustion counterpart.
Standard features include LED headlights, a 10-inch digital cockpit display, a 13-inch infotainment system, a multi-function steering wheel in leatherette and automatic air conditioner.
The new ID. Polo has an Irish starting price of €19,885. Orders open this July with first deliveries expected before the end of 2026.
