Solas Family Resource Centre and Headfest partner for Multicultural Day

Headfest, in partnership with Solas Family Resource Centre, is hosting a Multicultural Food & Local Craft Fair on Saturday, May 30, from 10am to 4pm in Monaghan’s Mega Marquee.

As part of the wider Headfest weekend fair, Saturday will feature both the multicultural food event led by Solas Frc and a craft fair with local makers, with the fair continuing as normal on Sunday.

Solas is inviting people to take part and celebrate the diversity of the Headford community through food, crafts, music and culture. Participants can share home-cooked dishes from their cultural background. A Tesco voucher will be provided to help with costs.

To allow as many people as possible to get involved, there are three time slots available:

10 to 12, 12 to 2, and 2 to 4. Please indicate your preference when applying.

With over 44 nationalities now living in Headford, the event is a great opportunity to share traditions. People are encouraged to bring flags, wear jerseys, and take part in music and dancing. Contributions of music from different cultures are very welcome.

Local craftspeople will also showcase their work, with the craft fair organised by Ray Jacques, a long-standing part of Headfest.

Expressions of interest are now open and you can fill out a form that is available on Headfest or Solas social media pages or call one of the below numbers.
