Fianna Fail Councillor Alan Cheevers has said that immediate engagement should now take place with the owners of properties affected by the proposed Outer Ring Road.
He said that now that planning approval has been granted, engaging directly with impacted property owners must be a priority.
“Many of these families and individuals have been left in limbo for far too long. Property owners should be offered the current market value for their homes, along with a fair financial relocation package to support them through the moving process.
“Those affected deserve certainty after years of uncertainty. It is only fair that they are now given the clarity needed to make long-term plans for themselves and their families,” he added.
