Food On The Edge is entering an exciting new chapter. After more than a decade of inspiring conversation in Ireland, the renowned symposium is heading abroad for the first time. Food On The Edge 2026 will take place on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, in Malta, marking a significant milestone in its evolution.
Before then, the official launch of FOTE2026 will take place in Malta on Saturday, May 2. For those tempted by the promise of sunshine and a change of scenery, it offers the perfect excuse to swap grey skies for a Mediterranean backdrop. Further details on this year’s theme, along with a full programme and launch imagery, will be released in early May.
Over the past ten years, Food On The Edge has welcomed an impressive line-up of Irish and international voices to stages in Galway and Dublin, creating a platform for meaningful discussion around food culture and the future of the industry. Now, founder JP McMahon and his team are taking that conversation a step further, bringing their vision to a broader European audience.
“Taking Food On The Edge overseas is a natural extension of our mission,” McMahon explained. “From the beginning, the symposium has been driven by two connected ambitions: to promote Irish food culture with confidence and clarity, and to contribute to a more thoughtful global food industry.”
With Malta as its next destination, Food On The Edge continues to evolve, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and fresh perspectives on a global stage.
