Members of the Ballybane community hub, Dep Mairéad Farrell, Cllr Aisling Burke and the environmental section of Galway City Council are organising a Ballybane community litter pick on Saturday April 11, meeting at the Ballybane Neighbourhood Village at 11am.
All residents are invited to take part in this litter pick aimed at enhancing the cleanliness and appeal of Ballybane's streets and green spaces.
The event aims to bring together volunteers of all ages to make a positive impact on the environment and foster community spirit, says local community activist Donal Lynch.
Participants will be provided with gloves, bags, and litter pickers.
The initiative offers a great opportunity to meet neighbours, enjoy time outdoors, and contribute to a cleaner, healthier area for everyone.
The litter pick is part of an ongoing effort to promote a cleaner environment for the upcoming national IBAL litter survey.
After the litter pick, everyone is welcome to the Ballybane Community Hub for a tea/coffee and treat.
