Galway Community College of Further Education (GCC ) is preparing to welcome prospective students to its 2026 Open Day on March 3, at its Wellpark campus in Galway city.
The event offers an excellent opportunity for visitors to explore the college, meet teachers and course coordinators, as well as discovering the wide range of QQI courses available.
Running from 9am to 4pm, the open day will feature guided tours of GCC’s facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, and recreational areas. Information sessions throughout the day will provide in-depth insights into course content, progression routes, Erasmus opportunities, and student supports.
Attendees will also have the chance to speak directly with teachers, ask questions about modules, and discuss career pathways with coordinators and the college’s guidance counsellor.
Whether you are currently completing your Leaving Certificate, recently graduated, a professional looking to upskill, or someone considering a career change, GCC’s Open Day is the perfect chance to explore how the college’s courses can help you take your next step.
Applications are open for all full-time courses beginning in September across a variety of areas, including Business, Early Learning Childcare, SNA, Horticulture, Sport, Performance, Science, and many more. In recent years GCC have added courses in Computer Science, Healthcare, Sports Coaching and, just introduced this year, Wood Craft & Design. Full course details and information are on fe.galwaycc.ie, including course fees.
GCC invites you to join them on March 3 to take the first step toward a brighter future. The college looks forward to welcoming visitors and helping them explore all the possibilities that lie ahead.
