The Kia EV2 recently completed a 310.6km winter test in Norway.
With temperatures currently dropping to -21°C, the EV2 'GT-line' prototype was driven for more than five hours. The EV2 was equipped with a 61kWh long-range battery and 19-inch wheels for the test.
Kia says the target figure for the EV2, with the long-range battery, is 448km. While the target figure for the EV2 'GT-line' with 19-inch wheels is 413km.
That means that the EV2, which is scheduled to arrive in Ireland this spring, achieved just over 75 per cent of its official range figure in freezing temperatures. It also charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 36 minutes, only six minutes longer than official figures, despite the harsh sub-zero conditions.
