Galway-based singer-songwriter Sara Gerdine will release a romantic single this St Valentine’s weekend.
‘No Other Love’ will be available on all major streaming platforms from this Friday, February 13.
Originally a 1950s pop song, with lyrics by Bob Russell and music derived from Chopin, it has been covered by various artists over the years.
“‘No Other Love’ is the only cover song that I have recorded to date,” says Sara Gerdine. “On a personal level, I absolutely adore this romantic ballad and the feelings of comfort and warmth it transmits.
“I find myself connected not only to the beautiful lyrics and dreamy music, but also to the 1950s era it so skilfully evokes. I feel that I have maintained the original essence of the song while at the same time adding my own individual style to it.
“Given that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I hope that this beautiful song will inspire everyone to celebrate the love in their lives!”
Gerdine’s latest single follows her previous releases ‘Waltzing in Love’ and ‘Feathers on the Ground’.
‘No Other Love’ is available on February 13 on all major streaming platforms.
