Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas to Launch in Málaga This June

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Legend of the Seas, will officially launch in Málaga this June, with Fahy Travel attending the highly anticipated event.

“Royal Caribbean is one of the most innovative cruise companies in the world, continually elevating the art of holidaying at sea,” said Annette Hynes, award-winning sales consultant with Cruise Worldwide at Fahy Travel on Bridge Street.

Ms Hynes recently earned a place on an exclusive ship visit aboard Wonder of the Seas in Florida and will further enhance her industry training this summer by participating in a Seminar at Sea onboard Legend of the Seas.

Legend of the Seas is the next-generation Icon Class ship, continuing Royal Caribbean’s tradition of groundbreaking design. The vessel features multi-neighbourhood experiences and the largest water parks ever introduced at sea, making it one of the most popular ships on sale this season.

Royal Caribbean is also expanding its portfolio of private destinations to enhance guest experiences and maintain the highest standards. In December 2025, the new Paradise Island Beach Club opened in the Bahamas, offering private pools, a swim-up bar and bespoke dining experiences in a premium, resort-style setting.

October 2025 also marked the introduction of Royal Railway – Legend Station aboard Legend of the Seas. This immersive dining experience uses cutting-edge technology to transport guests through historic landscapes while they enjoy a gourmet meal.

Entertainment onboard continues to evolve, with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory joining Royal Caribbean’s theatrical line-up on Legend of the Seas. Selected ships are also introducing new attractions, including the Pesky Parrot tiki bar, The Blaster aqua-coaster, and glow-in-the-dark laser tag arenas.

Looking ahead to 2026, Ms Hynes noted that guests can expect refined dining and beverage offerings, enhanced experiences for solo travellers, and even faster onboard connectivity — particularly across Royal Caribbean’s private destinations.

“The future of cruising has never looked brighter or more fun,” she said.
