The opening of Briarhill Veterinary Clinic in Briarhill Business Park on Monday has been welcomed by the owners of small animals in Galway city and county and further afield. It is a veterinary practice dedicated to the welfare of dogs, cats, and other small animals, ideally located for easy access, opposite DID Electrical, and with ample parking space.
The large reception area is designed so that dogs and cats are in separate waiting areas. This leads to a much less stressful situation for a little kitten when there is also a 65kg great Dane to be seen.
For those animals that have to be admitted, there are separate soundproof rooms for dogs and cats. This ensures quality snooze time for the feline patients.
These examples of attention to good design are maintained throughout the large premises which has an x-ray room, operating theatre, and consultation rooms, all fitted with the most modern equipment.
The owners, Riona Mac Eoin of Kinvara and Ruth Harkin of Killiney, Co Dublin, graduated from the veterinary college in UCD and have gained widespread experience in Ireland and the United Kingdom. They welcome visitors to come and see their premises and its facilities and they especially hope to see many children and animal lovers whom they are happy to advise and help in giving the best care possible to their pets.
As well as dogs and cats, all other pets are looked after with the greatest care and attention to their welfare in this fine new practice, which will be a big addition to the provision of animal welfare in the region. A 24-hour emergency service will be provided.
In order to keep your dog not only feeling well, but looking well too, dog grooming, including nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, styling, thinning, etc, will also be available on the premises, as well as a range of quality pet foods and accessories for your pets.
