Údarás na Gaeltachta has approved a €307,350 grant for Oxygen Research Institute Ltd (ORIL ) to drive significant expansion of its health and wellness operations from Moycullen, Co. Galway.
This funding, which is comprised of an employment grant and a new markets validation grant, will enable the company to expand its workforce over a three-year period and create 12 new jobs in the Gaeltacht.
The 12 new jobs will be created in various areas including software engineering, software development, marketing, human resources and project management. The employment grant will support the company’s growth and scaling strategy.
ORIL is an excellent example of an innovative business based in the Gaeltacht that is operating successfully on the global platform. The company was established in 2015 and now operates in more than 50 countries, serving important markets in North America, Continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Under the new markets validation grant, ORIL plans to conduct marketing research based on developing a new oral tape for users of the CPAP (Continuous positive airway pressure ) machine for the American market. This is an innovative solution to a problem affecting millions of people who suffer from sleep apnea.
