The new hair curling method that is taking the internet by storm

Once considered an old-fashioned trend, the heatless curling method has made a revival across the internet, making it one of the up-and-coming beauty trends. From headbands to satin curling rods, this new, effortless, and effective method of hair curling causes less damage to your hair and takes less time, too.

Here are the top four ways to achieve the perfect ringlets without the heat.

Headband curls

This method requires the fewest supplies. Begin by putting on the headband and take pieces of hair roughly about an inch thick and twist them around the headband. Continue wrapping right to the ends of your hair and tuck in any remaining ends.

Sock curls

For this method, you will need a long pair of socks, two hair bobbins and two hair clips. Split your hair down the middle and secure the socks in the centre of the section. using the sock as the centrepiece, similar to a plait, crisscross the hair in front of the sock, then behind it, alternating each time. Secure the ends with the hair bobbins.

Dressing gown belt

For this method, you will need a dressing gown belt and two hair bobbins. Split your hair down the middle and drape the belt evenly over the top of your head. Take sections roughly one inch thick and wrap them around the belt, starting from the front.

As you work your way down, add another section for hair from the front each time. Secure the ends with your hair bobbin and repeat on the other side.

Satin curling rods

This method is similar to the dressing gown belt curls. All you will need is the satin curling rod, two hair bobbins and a claw clip. Split your hair down the middle and drape the rod evenly over the top of your head, securing with the claw clip to avoid slipping.

Take sections roughly one inch thick and wrap them around the belt, starting from the front. As you work your way down, add another section for hair from the front each time. Secure the ends with your hair bobbin and repeat on the other side.
